Why bought subscribers hurt your channel
Subscribers sold online are usually bots or inactive accounts. They never watch, so your videos are shown to subscribers who ignore them, which tells YouTube your content is not interesting. YouTube also removes fake subscribers, and buying them breaks YouTube's rules.
How promotion brings real subscribers
- We show your best video to people interested in your topic
- Viewers who enjoy it click subscribe on their own
- Those subscribers watch your next uploads, which helps every future video
- You can see “Subscribers gained” from the video in YouTube Studio
Make your video convert viewers into subscribers
- Tell viewers what your channel is about in the first minute
- Ask for the subscribe at a natural moment, not only at the end
- Use an end screen that points to your next best video
